I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Scarlett Kay: 3 Months Old

Weight and Length: 11.5lbs and 22.5 inches long

Diaper: Size 1

Clothes: 3 Months

Eating: 5-7 times a day

Sleeping: Down at about 7:30-8p and up at 7am, naps only 1 hour twice a day

1/4 of her first year is in the books, I can't believe it!  This also marks our time at home full time coming to an end.  I can't believe how quickly these last 3 months have flown by.  It's so hard to remember a time now when it was just us three, before Scarlett.  Norah won't ever remember life without her sweet sister.  So crazy!

This little girl experienced her first Valentine's Day!  Mama couldn't just pick one outfit so we had a few to take pictures in.

Sisters before Misters

This month we have gotten SO many smiles and coos!  They're the best!  She smiles at her sister so much, which just melts our hearts.  She's smiled at Zeus a few times and really loves to smile at Mama after her milk.  She still has the cutest dimple on one side.  We hope it stays.

She has finally mastered rolling from front to back!  We are still working a lot on tummy time to get her strong.  Her poor noggin is so big and heavy!  She is enjoying t-time a bit more these days and for longer periods.

We took her on her first road trip this month to OKC.  She slept right through both ways!  She slept great at Nana and Pop's house too.

We had our first demo day at daycare!  She only went for half a day, but took a bottle and wasn't hysterical when I picked her up so that's a success!  They send us photos and videos so I can't wait to get those while I'm away at work.

Scarlett loves to chill on the blanket on the floor and cuddle with Norah.  They snuggle each morning and it makes Scarlett smile everytime.  She loves to sit up and watch her surroundings now.  She really enjoys standing up and sitting up (with lots of help).  She is still breastfeeding like a champ! She doesn't nurse for as long at a time as her sister did at this age, but she's still getting her fill.  She's about 2lbs lighter than her sister was this age.  Our little sweet, small Scarlett!

She's definitely getting some chunk to her thighs so we can't wait to officially weigh her next month.  She is still sleeping like a rock star.  She sleeps 11-12 hours straight, swaddled in her crib now.  She finally got into her crib this month!  She's been sleeping upstairs but since big sister was still using her crib she was in the pack n play.  Finally last weekend we made the big swap, got an additional camera to spy on big sister and boom!  Norah is in her toddler bed in her room and Scarlett is now in her crib in her own room!  It feels so good and weird all at the same time.  Also the crib seems so high now that we moved it back up for baby.

Scarlett's room is still a work in progress, but hopefully we can finish it off in the next month or two and I'll post some pictures!  I love working on the kid's rooms.  We are redoing Norah's too to reflect a more toddler, explorer friendly room.  We're working on a reading nook for her and hopefully a full size bed soon.  Scarlett still needs pictures, curtains and a rug.  I can't wait to get it all put together!

Norah is still doing the best job at being a big sister!  She still screams "Baby Awake!" when Scarlett cries after a nap.  She's the best fetcher.  She grabs me burp rags, wipes and the remote control!  She loves nuzzling her sister's face when they lay down together.  Norah just thinks it's the funniest thing when Scarlett reaches out to touch her face or pull her hair.  I've done a few errands with just Norah in the car and everytime Norah cries and says "Baby Scar-Day in the house!!"  She hates going anywhere without her now.  She wipes the spit up off her face.  The sweetest thing right now is in the mornings when we wake Norah first, she'll follow us into Scarlett's room and crawl into the crib with her to see her and wake her up.  She loves her sister so much.

Scarlett is fitting in just perfectly with our family thus far.  In fact, I find myself already thinking about the next sweet, squishy baby.  These little suckers are so addictive!  We love watching the littles play and interact too.  It's so magical.  I love our family so much.  Again, I'm so grateful for the chance to keep at home with her the first 3 months of her life.  I know so many Mama's that have to go back to work so quickly or the poor Dad's that have to resume work after only a few days or week.  Mama will be sad to leave her, but I know she's in good hands.  I can't wait to see how her personality blossom's over the spring and summer!
