Whew haven't updated this ol' thing in over a year! Well a lot has happened in 12 short months. We are PREGNANT again! And yes, it was planned and very much wanted!

Our announcement pictures! |
I first tested on October 18th, but it was still showing negative. I retested Sunday morning (24th) and BOOM.
Now to tell Kit! This is the LAST time I'll ever get to tell him I'm pregnant, so I wanted to do more than just show him a test with a shrug. I looked over Pinterest and found this cute scavenger hunt idea! The kids helped me plant the notes around the house and the last clue went in the oven. As soon as Kit got home the kids were SO excited to take him around to all the clues, but when it came to the grand finale we kept them in the dark. We were still seeing family on and off and we weren't ready for family to know yet. Toddlers just can't keep secrets haha. He was a little shocked, little in disbelief but eventually smiled and was excited!
The first trimester was a little rough this go around. It's funny how I forgot how DRAINING it was to grow something from a poppy seed to the size of a peach! Also for the first time I was so NAUSEAS! I have literally never had it with any of my other 3 pregnancies so this was awful, but I made it through without throwing up! The first trimester I was nauseas, TIRED (like falling asleep watching my kids alone), food aversion to all my healthy go to's and COFFEE and around 12 weeks started getting round ligament pains already.

At 8 weeks we had our first confirmation ultrasound, nerve wrecking! Kit was allowed to go with me and everything checked out great! We saw the little heart flicker!
I'm through the first trimester now, so far so good! Hoping for an uneventful pregnancy our last go around.
