I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Spring Break 2017

Our last Spring Break for the parents!  Next time it'll be because of the kiddos, crazy!  This year we kept it pretty low key.  No crazy topless beer fests!

The first weekend we stuck around Tulsa and winded down from school for a few days.  My husband and I both had job interviews that Friday, then we got to visit the Tulsa Air and Space Museum!

Norah really enjoyed the "airpanes"!  My husband might of liked it more though.  We also finally made it to a Donut Date Night at our favorite local donut shop in Sand Springs, Livi Lee's!

I didn't want to keep to Tulsa the entire week, so we decided to take a mini road trip and head north to Kansas City, MO!  We stayed in a hotel adjoining a huge indoor water park.  We enjoyed the water park for a few hours, ate some must-eat KC BBQ, hit the Truman Presidential Library Museum, Union Station and a yummy pizza joint!

Our favorite stop was the only National WWI Museum in the country.  It has a huge look-out tower, indoor poppy garden and so many exhibits that my poor husband had to quickly make his way through.  The whole family loved it, and we could definitely go back and see more.

Afterwards we met the grandparents and dropped Norah off for her FIRST overnight away from Mama and Dada.  We missed her, but we knew she was in good hands.  The sleepover allowed me to finish up my 3rd CrossFit Open workout, then we hit downtown Tulsa for the CrAzY St. Patrick's Day Festivities!  We had a blast!  We met up with my nursing school girlfriends and even ran into my husband's old army buddies.  First time we went to bed past 2am in a LONG time!

St Patty's Day Breakfast

The next morning we slept in, ate a quiet, peaceful and hot breakfast on Brookside then anxiously drove to OKC to see our girl!

All in all, a great Spring Break full of family time and even a little date night for Mom and Dad.  Now just 6 weeks until this semester is over for us!
