I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Hazel Faye: 7 Months

Weight/Length: ?

Diaper: Size 2 but almost a 3

Clothes: 6 months, 6-9 months

Eating: Nursing 5-7 times, eating 1-2 solid meals of baby puree

Sleeping: Naps 2-3 times, wakes every night at 10:30p for a snack

How are we here already? Ugh the downward slide to toddler hood is so slippery. We didn't weigh or do length this month since we don't have a wellness check until 9 months.

This girl had a great month!  We celebrated her first Father's Day and Kit's first one with THREE ladies!  We ventured out to the zoo!  We hit the pool for the first time!  Picked blueberries.  We also got a visit from the grandparents for the first time since March, and we got a weekend without the big kids to get the house ready for the market to sell.

This month she hit some amazing milestones.  She started sitting up (with a boppy supporting her) for a few minutes at a time.  I know by next month she'll be sitting up unassisted for sure.  She's shaking her head side to side when we say "No no no!"  She's also grabbing items and raising them to her mouth a lot more efficiently than before.  She's also rolling (back to front to back to front) to get herself across the room.  She's usually after a toy or to spy on where the big kids ran off to.  She's getting close to being mobile!

"Look Mama, I'm sitting!"

We love when she does this trilling cooing sound.  We call her our little Star Wars Wookie for it!  She loves to grab our hair or faces and pull us close for open mouth kisses.  It's. The. Best.  She babbles up a storm, but no official words just yet.  I still love when she lays on her back and grabs her little chubby feet.  Her huge gummy grins are just my absolute favorite.  Surprisingly she really loves splashing in the pool! Lastly, I love that she always wakes up now smiling.  It's my favorite thing to get her from her bed because she's always grinning huge!

She started sleeping on her belly this month!  It always scares me when they start this, but Scarlett was and is now a total belly sleeper.  Luckily Hazel transitioned really well out of her full swaddles into the sleeveless sleep sacks.

She doesn't like laying on her back now for too long and thinks she needs to always sit up like a big girl.  She really doesn't complain or fuss about too much!

She's still nursing strong most meals and eating a baby puree food 1-2 times a day.  We like giving her a teething biscuit too to hold and suck on.  No pincher grip yet so we aren't quite ready for BLW yet.  The only food we've tried that she dislikes so far is green beans.  She also impressed us by snatching Scarlett's sippy cup and just going to town on it!  We've always had to work so hard to get our kids to transition from a bottle to sippy cup but Hazel made quick work of it!

Here are some of our favorite pictures of our sweet Hazel.

All 3 of my babies slept in my old wooden crib my Grandpa Joe made us when we were kids.

We bought this in Paris for our little nugget at 7 weeks!

Hazel you're the dreamiest, most easy going, go-with-the-flow and just pure joy that I've ever loved.  You bless us every day with your love.
