I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Spring Break 2016

The student life is tough when you have a family, bills to pay and an adult life to manage BUT one of the perks is Spring Break!!  It's funny, we're both students this year (just like the good ol days!) and luckily I had enough leave to use some for Spring Break too.

Unlike last year, we decided to enjoy Panama City area and keep close to home.  Especially since we're moving soon.  We wanted to enjoy our old home town while we could!

First morning home!

See ya later!

Cutest ruffled butt I ever did see.

She had to sit next to Bubba.

Three peas in a pod

Totally obsessed with Zeus that first day

3 Mile Run!

Day 2!  We ventured out to the historic St Andrews area, and ate from our favorite floating taco joint.  We even toured an old Spanish trade ship!  Norah LOVED the ship.  She kept gazing up at the masts and cooing at all the people and ropes.

Day 3 started out rough.  It's not officially Spring Break if I don't lock us out of something!  Last year it was his trailer...this year it was our car!  Unfortunately it was on base, so Kit had to walk 1.5 miles to the visitor's center to get the guy on base.  Meanwhile, Miss Norah June and I took selfies!  Poor Dad!

She slept pretty horribly due to some ear aches, so caffeine was a MUST.

It didn't slow her down though!

The weather was gorgeous, so we decided to hit the beach!  As locals, we know the good spots, even on Spring Break.  Not a soul in sight, so we could let Zeus off the leash.  We all loved it.

Matchy matchy!

She worked that two piece!

Little baby legs

Baby model

Sandy toes

She's my favorite!

Our own private beach

Too  chilly for Norah!

Zeus had to photobomb!

Dad + Mom + Baby

Day 4, off to get Norah's ears looked at!  Also Dad was really sick, so it was just Norah and I hanging out!

Loves her yogurt

New scrunchy nosed smile!

That evening despite my husband feeling awful, we still went through with family pictures.  I really wanted Kiersten Grant to shoot us once more on the beach.  We'll never live at the beach again, and you just can't have enough family pictures.  Especially when you're always separated.  I'm so glad we did these, and we can't wait to see the rest!  We'll always remember our time on the beach as a family of three!

Day 5, parent's day out!  We put Norah June in daycare and hit the road for Seaside FL!  It's our favorite part of living here, so we wanted to walk about once more.  The weather was warm and sunny.  The beer was cold and the oysters were delicious!

Stylin' for daycare!

We were really anxious to get back to our Norah by midday!  Ah, parenting problems!

Day 6, Kit's last day!  Norah went off to daycare for the morning so that we could pack/sort things for Kit to take back with him to the new house.  The movers won't move everything (like soaps, food, candles, cleaning supplies, etc) so into the truck it goes.  Along with my breastmilk stash (200+ ounces), Zeus and our two cats!  Definitely a full truck for sure.

Can't forget the beer!

Afterwards we picked up Norah for a yummy St Paddy's lunch at our favorite mom and pop sandwich shoppe.

Daddy's Lucky Charm

When you're so hungry you could eat a table!

Swiped Dad's pickle!

Norah's First St Paddy's Day

Happy St Paddy's Day!

Then came for Kit, the dog and two cats to hit the highway!  I can't believe we move in one week!

We had a great Spring Break together!  Norah warmed up so quickly to Kit which made things so much more enjoyable.  He was so shocked to see how far she's developed now. It's one thing to see videos and photos, but it's another to see her crawling and talking in the flesh!  He left a 7 month old and came back to a 10 month old!  This week was a brief taste of what's to come, and we just can't wait.  We'll miss this house.  We'll miss the beach.  We'll cherish all the beach sunsets and memories we've made, but we're ready for this goodbye.

Last family picture with the house we brought Norah home to when she was born!
