I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

NINE months!  I just can't believe it.  Well we went to her wellness check up and she'd only gained about 1.5 lbs in the last 3 months....boo (fifth percentile in weight).  SO we need to step it up with the fats!  Our pediatrician wants us to add olive oil in her purees, heavy whipping cream into her oatmeal and even olive oil in her bottles, really anything to allow her to put on more weight.  Poor thing was born such a hoss but I can't keep weight on her for the life of me!  Everything else checked up great at her appointment.

This month was a BIG month for her.  First of all, we traveled 15 hours one way by CAR to Florida with a BABY!  She did fantastic, her sisters too!  We were on the fence because of not being able to fly like we had planned and the kids being so little but they blew us away.  We played on the beach every day, rode bikes (first time for her!), hiked and finally took all the kids out to eat for the first time!  We masked up, sanitized our paws like crazy and kept to ourselves.  It was the best vacation!

Milestones.  Despite not growing much physically, she is still charging forward!  She started waving! She sticks her little arm out and rotates her hand side to side.  She usually pairs it with the sweetest coos.  She says "Dada" all the time and especially when she sees Kit.  I'm still waiting for "Mama"!  She started this new surprised "Oh!" face that is pretty adorable too.  My favorite thing she started doing is low crawling!  She uses just one leg and one arm to inch forward but she's on the move!  She's keeping us on our toes for sure!

She's cutting down her naps to just 1-2 a day.  She mostly sleeps through the night but still wakes up 1-2 nights a week.  Kit can rock her back down, but if I'm awake I'll nurse her.  If she's my last baby then I just never know when that last time will be <3  Norah and Hazel are still sharing a room pretty well!

She's started BLW this month.  We are letting her practice now with her little pincher grip bringing food up to her mouth to eat.  So far she's eaten eggs, bits of banana, smashed peas and has loved it all.  She is still getting pureed food as well. She's still nursing but I feel like she's not eating as much volume from me as she once did.  When I pump now I'm only getting 3-4 ounces at a time, so I think she's tapering off a bit.

Norah still asks to hold her and now has moved on to wanting to carry her around the house.  She loves getting in her face and talking her ear off.  Scarlett has shown a lot of interest in teaching her new things.  She loves to try to make her say "Dada" and helping her practice shaking her head "no!"  It's the best to watch.

I can't believe we need to start thinking about planning her birthday party already.  Our baby is almost not a baby anymore and it's more than I want to think about!

Enjoy my favorites from this month!

I say it every month but baby girl you are a DREAM.  Your sweet "ah-ah" coos, contagious smiles, the way you grab our faces for open mouth kisses and your happiness makes it impossible for us to ever get enough of you.

We love you.
