I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

HALF A YEAR!  Time is SUCH a thief with you sweet Hazel!  This month we celebrated Norah's 5th birthday and Mother's Day!

We had such a fun day celebrating Norah's birthday and my first Mother's Day of THREE babes!

We are getting such a sweet taste of your blossoming personality.  You are easy going, HAPPY, sweet, attention-loving and bright.  You are the happiest baby hands down that I've ever made or known.  Babies just don't smile as much as we see you smile!

This month you tried your first foods!  You like apple sauce, avocado, sweet potatoes and peas.  You are not a fan of bananas!  You can also chug your sister's water from her sippy cup like a champ!  You also started grabbing toys with a purpose.  We love watching you grab something and bring it to your mouth!  Your hands are still your favorite thing to chew.  She's starting to push her chest up off the floor too.  After two kids I know what this means...she's going to be trying to get up on all fours soon!  I can't go there yet!

You love when we drag a muslin blanket over and over you.  You kick and giggle!  You love the game peekaboo, "flying" around the house, ceiling fans and squeaky or crinkling sounding toys.  You also found your feet!! I love when babies grab their little toes!

FEET

You don't like the bright sun when we're outside, long car rides or when we walk away from you!

Hazel is still nursing like a champ!  She takes bottles really well too the nights/days I'm at work or sleeping.  We've made it to my first goal, 6 months on breast milk!  Especially during this crazy time with COVID I'm so grateful that I can provide her this.  Hopefully we can make it to one year too.

Hazel is still holding on as our room mate for now!  I just can't quite yet haha.  She's back to sleeping through the night again.  YAY!  And naps great.  For the first time ever, we put her drowsy but awake to sleep at night and for naps and she soothes herself to sleep.  It's awesome!  I love when she gets tired, she nurses the little palm of her hand and/or her lower lip.  UGH I die every time. It's definitely her cue that she's ready for some shut eye.  It's the cutest thing ever.

Your sisters are still your biggest fans.  Norah still asks to hold you.  Scarlett loves when you pull her hair and has to tell us every time.  Norah loves to hand you toys to chew and read to you when you're fussy.  They're the best!

Here's my favorite pictures of you from this month!

Sweet Hazel I can't believe it's been half a year with you!  It's been the BEST with you in our lives!
