I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Norah June: 6 Months Old

Not happy about aging!

Just kidding!

Weight and Height: 17 lbs  2 oz and 25 inches long

Eyes and Hair: Bright blue eyes and long blonde hair

Diapers: Size 3

Clothes: 6 months

Eating: Every 3-4 hours, no solids yet

Sleeping: 9-12 hours straight through

My husband and I have a half-year old!! Wow I can't believe it already.  Norah had quite the month.  We started out flying to Oklahoma, and she's now flown 6 times!  Next we hosted Nana and Pops for a week.  Then we kicked off her first holiday season with Halloween.

She's definitely developing a beautiful personality.  She loves to lean forward and plant wet kisses on my mouth while she grabs my face with both her hands.  All her daycare teachers tell me she's the easiest baby.  When they speak she turns to look at them and acts as if she's listening intently.  She self-entertains for long stretches.  She sits up strong now all on her own.  She's also started to really giggle too.  Nana showed her how to lap liquid from a cup, so now she insists on drinking from my water bottle each time.  She's got herself on all fours a few times, another nod to Nana!  She's snatched food off my plate and just shoved it into her mouth, but hasn't quite had her first bite yet.  She's stable enough to sit in high chairs when I go out to eat, which is so much fun.  She throws a fit now if she doesn't get a toy she wants or if she drops something that she's trying hard to pick up.  I try to let her be frustrated though and work through it.  I've read that's how babies learn the most, is through their own frustrations.  I'm giving it a try and she settles pretty quickly.  She transfers toys from one hand to the other.  She loves our super baby games (me holding her high above  my head).  She also laughs at my fake sneezes and coughs, and always smiles big after she sneezes.  It must feel really good!  Right before Halloween I walked into her classroom, and when she locked eyes with me she held her arms high as if to signal she wanted me to pick her up!  I loved that.  She's crawling backwards, but hasn't quite figured out forwards yet.  She can take her time.  I'm not ready for a mobile babe yet.

Physically she's just perfect.  Her left thigh is thicker than her right and has the cutest roll in it.  All her baby brown hairs have fallen out (or Nana combed them out haha) and now long white/blonde hair has completely taken over.  Her eyes are still as blue and even purple as ever.  She has lashes that won't ever need mascara.  She's strong and so smart already.

I love capturing her growth and changes, enjoy the best part, pictures!
