I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Last month of having a baby in the house for The McVay Tribe!  We just can't believe it.  My husband was sorting through Norah's swaddles and started to tear up when he came across a newborn one.  Personally, I'm not super sad she transitioning to toddler hood.  In my short time of parenthood I've learned each new stage brings so many new incredible things that it's hard to dwell in the past.  Do I come across a newborn onesie in the back of her drawers, smell it and hold it tight to my chest?  Yes, of course!  I definitely reminisce, but each age has been my favorite so I can't wait to see her huge personality continue to blossom and evolve.

How's Norah doing?  She's just doing incredible despite the CRAZY life I have dragged her through this month.  First we had Spring Break with Dad!  It was a great week together, and a wonderful taste of what was to come!

Next, Last holiday in Florida, St Patricks Day!

Then came for a HUGE change for all of us.  I moved my daughter and I to Oklahoma to join her Dad finally.  She did great on the plane (her 9th flight), and we started a new chapter in Oklahoma together.

Such a huge change for our sweet Norah June.  First day in Oklahoma we celebrated her first Easter!

We've been settling in since.  Norah has adjusted surprisingly really well.  This girl just dominates anything you throw at her.  We prepare ourselves for the worst, but she surprises us every time.

Now a little about where Norah June is at!  She's still crawling around like a crazy girl and gets into EVERYTHING.  She's earned the stair master champion title.  She easily goes from the couch to the coffee table now and cruises like it's no big deal.  She lets go and stands on her own now for seconds at a time.  Scares me, but she always squats down when she's had enough. She just started walking while pushing chairs across the room.  She's giving her walking feet some practice.

She signs "more" but that's it.  She definitely understands our signs but not quite yet reciprocating.  She babbles non stop!  She screams out in joy, anger and frustration.  We joke Norah wouldn't last a day in "Walking Dead World".  She's SO damn loud haha.  Last week I was rubbing her head trying to make her sleepy, and I stopped.  That's when she reached up, grabbed my hand and made me continue to rub her head!  So stinking cute.  She's a peekaboo addict.  She loves her trust fall game with Daddy, and loves our "EWWWs" when she puts her toes in her mouth.  I swear she does it just to get our reactions.  She's a girl that knows what she likes!

She also knows what she doesn't like.  She hates avocado (plain) and mushed carrots.  It literally made her gag and throw up.  She's scared of the vacuum now.  She also hates nap time, what kid doesn't?  Hates to have her diaper changed, and really dislikes dog kisses on the face.

She can feed herself now, which is so cute to see.  She loves graham crackers, morning oatmeal, banana, hummus, spiced rice, guac, salsa and sweet peas.  She still BF 4-5 times a day and I don't see her weaning herself anytime soon.  Luckily I got her weaned enough to fit my new nursing school schedule so that I don't have to pump three times a day when I'm gone like I was when I worked full time.  She did bite me a few times when her new chompers came in, but I quickly remedied that and she hasn't since.  She loves her water and drinks very well from all our straws.  She usually drinks 3-5oz water a day.  Her Nana had to give her a bottle while the parents went on a date night and luckily she still takes those great.  She absolutely insists on holding it herself though.  Miss Independent.

Since Norah and I moved to Oklahoma we've got in a lot of family time!  We're looking forward to much more as the months go by.  She's too much of a joy not to share with everyone!

Amazing women that took care of our sweet Norah for 7 months.  I didn't cry at all when we moved, but when I said farewell to them I bawled.  That's how you know you have good teachers in your life.
