I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Hazel Faye: 8 Months

Weight/Length: We'll get it official next month!

Diaper: Size 2

Clothes: 6 Months

Eating: Nursing 5-6 times a day, eating baby mush still twice a day, drinks water from a sippy cup

Sleeping: Naps twice a day, sleeping through the night, but wakes about once a week up in the middle of the night

Every month it sneaks up on us!  This month for sure was a busy one with our first family vacation then we MOVED.  Next we look up and she went and aged another month!!!

July was an exciting month for us!  As previously mentioned, we finally extracted ourselves from the safety of our isolated home life and spent the long 4th of July weekend with close (isolating family members) family in a huge cabin on Tenkiller Lake!  Our poor kids literally hadn't seen other kids since the beginning of March so they just went absolutely nuts for the four days we spent there with their cousins.  Hazel loved all the attention and even started sitting up on her own for a few minutes at a time! She was a big fan of swimming in the lake and all the extra lovings.

After that we got really serious at home packing up our first home to move into an apartment.  Also for the first time since MARCH she started back at daycare!  We were worried a little about stranger danger and adjusting since she's basically been home her whole life, but like true Hazel fashion she went with the flow.  She's napping, taking her bottles and giving her teachers smiles three times a week while Mama sleeps!

This month this girl starting sitting up officially!  She's still wobbley but she can sit unassisted for a few minutes at a time without crashing down.  She's got up on her knees a few times but not close to crawling yet.  She is scooting herself backwards while on her tummy.  I'll leave the room and come back to find her halfway stuck under our TV stand!  She's babbling up storms and her sisters love to talk back to her.

She still naps 2-3 times a day and will still nurse her lower lip or palm of her hand when she's ready.  It's my favorite. Currently since we're moved into our 3 bedroom apartment now, she's bunking in with big sister Norah!  She finally gets to sleep in her crib for the first time!  I just didn't want her in that rough pack n play for the next 8 months.  It was a little rough the first few nights when Hazel would wake up in the middle of the night, but they're on their own little groove now.  I think it's going to be hard for Norah to go back to sleeping alone after this!

Hazel is still nursing like a champ.  She hasn't showed any signs of slowing down.  She is liking food a little more this month.  Hopefully this month we can start putting a few items on her tray to let her start practicing to self feed.

Enjoy my favorite pictures of our sweet Hazey from this last month!

Hazel Faye met Jacqueline Faye

She loves to give Mama big open mouth kisses, always grabbing the face!

Hazel you're just a dream to love, live with and parent.  We love you so much!  Thank you for choosing this crazy family to love on.
