I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Hazel Faye: 3 Months

Oh sweet Hazel Faye, our 4th trimester has now come to a close!  She's growing so quickly that I'm forcing myself to sit down to write out these blogs, simply to have this first year of her life to look back on when in real time it's such a blur.

Weight/Length: Didn't measure!

Diaper: Size 1

Clothing: 0-3, 3 Months

Eating: Every 3-4 hours during the day

Sleeping: Asleep about 7:30p and up around 8, waking once a few times a week to nurse

This sweet girl continues to be the most low maintenance and happiest of all our bunch of crazies!  She's always smiling and does the purr like coos that melt our hearts.  She's found her hands and sucks on them quite a bit.  She's close to rolling over from back to tummy but not quite!  She loves when we chat with her or when her sisters invade her personal space to talk.  She loves watching the ceiling fan, being walked around the house, our sit to stand game and when we change her diaper!  She grins and coos always during diaper changes, so funny. She loves bath time too.  We usually throw her in the tub before bedtime to stretch her until it's time to go to sleep!

This month she started daycare!  Ugh so many feelings, but it's a necessity.  The first week she refused her bottles which always stresses me out.  I know she won't starve, but it just makes her day so much better if she eats!  We worked on her that first weekend home and then she got it great that second week!  Now she's a bottle champ, taking 3-4 ounces at a time.  Her teachers report that she's happy, sweet and loves when they chat with her.  Both she and Scarlett go about 3 days a week while I work.

First day!

Sleeping at daycare

In Febuary we celebrated her first Valentine's Day!  Of course the girl's looked so cute and Hazel even got to sport a bow tie <3  She also got to feel her first snow!  Not a huge fan.

First snow!

She's still nursing like a champ!  My supply is a little confused now that I'm starting back at work on night shift, but it's still strong and steady.  I have over 200 ounces frozen in our freezer, so I'm going to give some to a few girls at work then probably make my first donation to the Oklahoma Milk Bank in a few months.  We always wait until 6 months to start solids, so she still has a few more months of just Mama's milk to go.

She's still a great night sleeper.  Every once and awhile she'll wake up once around 3-4am, nurse and go right back down.  She takes short naps during the day unless she sleeps on us then it can be a few hours.  We still have her swaddled at night, but we'll start transitioning her out of that soon.  She's still sleeping in a crib in our room since Scarlett is occupying her room upstairs, or else she'd be in her own room to sleep by now.  Third kid problems!

This girl is just so much fun.  I'm constantly worried she's not getting enough stimulation, tummy time, snuggles etc but I've learned to just give myself grace.  This is a crazy season our family is in with 3 kids under 5.  I do what I can when I can and so far I feel like we have three healthy kids that hopefully we aren't raising to be assholes when they grow up haha!  Here are some of my favorites from this month!

Blow out while hiking!

Mama's old outfit!

Screamed until I pulled over the van to feed her...now she's all smiles!

Lifting that noggin!

Got to stop by Mama's work and see the ladies!

Hazey, you're so loved.  I just want to soak up all your sweet smiles, purr like coos and kicking baby feet forever.  Don't grow up.  Love, Mama.
