I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

6th Anniversary

Every year our anniversary seems to be coming quicker and quicker each year.  This year was quite different.  We couldn't do the nice big fancy dinner, get dressed up to the nine or spend hours sipping wine by the fire.  This was our first anniversary with our sweet Norah June, and we're learning she makes every occasion so much more special then when it was just us two.  Even our own wedding anniversary!

We started out like we do every year by ringing in the New Year and our anniversary together!  We didn't quite make it to midnight, but we still drank a little bubbly and kissed!  The most important part of course.

Our favorite NYE kiss

Cheers!

A few years ago we got on board with our best friends Brie and Shawn, and decided to incorporate their tradition into ours.  We decided to start each year outside with an awesome hike full of exercise, fresh air, open skies and nature.  My husband and I are big outdoors types so we loved the idea.  We were SO excited to bring along our daughter this year and start to share some McFamily traditions with her.

This year we went to Torreya State Park, about 40 miles North of Panama City FL.

Snack time

Couldn't finish without some family selfies

After the 4 mile hike we hit the playground at the campsite.  We wanted to see how Norah June would like her first swing set.  She loved it!

Still unsure...

Afterwards we explored an old plantation house at the park.

Then it was time for showers, lunch, and gifts!

This year we didn't much time together, and the time we did spend was mainly focused on keeping our sweet daughter alive and thriving.  We haven't had much couple time, but this year we plan to change that.  Here's to another year married, in love and falling more in love with our life each day that we're together.  I sure wouldn't want to life with anyone but you.
