I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

Care Package from Cali

I've mentioned her before, but I have a sweet, dear friend named Katie. We went to tech school together and became super close. She's one of those people, that no matter how long or how far a part we end up...I know we'll always be great friends. Before we all left each other in TX we made each other little mementos to remember our time together and first duty station. I received hers today and it definitely brought tears and good memories.

A shirt from our favorite local bar/brewery...they new us by name and drink!

The sweet note basically says along the lines of this...she was given some awesome advice. To make a small scrapbook of each station you go to, so you always remember where you started, what you experienced and how far you've come. She started one for us. I'm writing this to just express that it's small notions like this that can really touch someone on such a grand scale. Never underestimate the power of a good care package. Love you girl and this is a tradition that we'll definitely carry on and hopefully add more pictures of our future run-ins across the US!
