I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

McHoliday 2013

Holy cow Christmas Eve! It seems the older I get, the faster the holidays creep up on me. Before we knew it, it was December 24th and time for eve festivities! Christmas jammies and new hot cocoa mugs!

Before we went to the movie theater
Christmas this year was excellent. I had a lot of time off to spend at home, which is rare so we took advantage of it. We did a couple house projects, laid around and did what we want. Except this time, Kit isn't leaving tomorrow. We're SO grateful that he's staying here past Christmas, unlike last year.

We did miss family like crazy. I think this may be our last Christmas (if we can help it) at home solo. Our families need us and we need them during Christmas time. I realized something else this year, when people asked us what we wanted for Christmas it was unusually pretty quiet from our end. The older we get the less the season is about "things", "gifts", "presents" and more about family pictures, stories, group gaming nights and traditions.

We have everything we ever wanted right here in arms reach this year. You can't put a price on that.

Cheers to our last Christmas celebrated in Florida! It was perfectly amazing, and we're grateful for every moment. Can't wait for next year's in Oklahoma!
